OT: UConn Women's unis & "swag"

I am amazed (but not surprised) at all the special warmups and sneakers that the women get after winning NCs, especially last and this year. And then there's the kd8 sneakers they wore in the tourney, and if I recall correctly, the Nike uniform template is unique to other schools. During the M&W tourneys, the Nike folks were Always Reppin' and Adidas were Made in March, however did anyone notice that UConn women did not wear the Reppin' shirt during games? I think this is another thing that amazes me about the program, that the school and possibly coaches, get a say in how the team is represented on the court.

The warm up jackets looked very very nice at the FF.
Uconn women have been the only team or one of only a few teams to get the latest swag from Nike - a few years ago they and the USA national team were the only ones to get the new jersey material. The KD8s this year and I heard somewhere that Nike was producing a specially decorate KD8 to commemorate the 4pete exclusively for the team.
I am not always sure how big an honor it really is - thought those new gray material uniforms with non-team colors were ugly, but whatever!

UC: as usual, in sync with you. One big issue for me (given some fairly substantial vision problems) is that the lettering on those gray jobs did not stand out from the jersey enough for me to see any numbers. Expressed after the first EX game, and had hoped they were just for the EX games. No such luck so far. Also. as a man to whom tradition means a great deal, I always lean strongly toward the school's colors to be the uniform colors, perhaps with an accent here or there if needed.

I think I read, that Geno really doesn't care, but the kids (being kids) really like the "cool" stuff.
