Didn’t see this elsewhere but just curious if anyone has any thoughts or insight. Seems like he’s the best golfer UConn has had in years, and just announced he is transferring to UGA.
From UConn last month: Manuel (Topsham, Me.), who led the UConn men's golf team in scoring in each of the past two years and is the Huskies' top career scorer, fired a brilliant 3-under par 69-68=37 on two courses in Purchase, N.Y., on Monday to tie for medalist honors and secure a berth in the U.S. Open. The Open will be played on June 16-19 at The Country Club in Brookline, Mass.
I assume there are NIL factors that contributed to the decision. Tough look for a program that is fighting for a seat at the campus athletics table to lose such a good player.
