Is Rodman really the 10th best PF or all time? I mean, I know he was a great rebounder and strong defender, but offense has to play a role in this too, right?

This is one of the dumber threads on this board, McHale had some of the best post moves ever but comparing him to Bird or saying McHale at his best is better than Bird at his best is duck*ing idiotic, not shocking that upstater and pnow would try and make this argument.

I'm shocked, shocked to see Celtics fans wildly overrating a former Celtic. Boston sports fans are so predictable. McHale belongs no higher than 6th on that list, and it's a distant 6th. Duncan, Malone, Garnett, Dirk, and Barkley are the five best PFs of all-time according to everyone who isn't a Celtics fan.

Yup but this is new ground, overrating one of their own so much that they are detracting from one of their own who is the much better player. Sixth is a very favorable rating for McHale yet a couple here seem to think it's a slight, Pettit and Hayes could easily be ahead of McHale. He was a couple of decades before so it's a bit hard to compare but Pettit's numbers and accomplishments destroy McHale's.

Definitely think Hayes is a few spots underrated. I"D put him 4-5.

Unfortunately, we missed the Hawk at his peak. As for Bird, among forwards, only Duncan, and Lebron can really be mentioned in the same breath with him. Dirk, Dr. J, Malone, and a few others are in the next group.
