Look before you sit.

Before using a stall in a public (this includes an office environment) restroom, examine the seat. Even if the seat is up and you are the one putting it down. If you don't and sit down before realizing it is wet, it is too late, there is nothing you can do.

Corrollary to that is to check the floor around the toilet for cleanliness and to check for TP as well before you start your business.

In summary, if you aren't smart in public restrooms you'll be stuck paddling upstream on shiiitts creek.

Damn all these years lining the toilet seat with tissue before I sit I was wasting my time. No more high class King of the throne for me! Thanks Waq no more aggravation when I am almost done lining and the paper drops in the toilet before I sit.

Wow and to think I thought dropping toilet seats was for women.

I'm in Vietnam and they use the butt spray hose. This means that every time I go to a toilet the seat is covered in water which may or may not be mixed with other substance(s). I waste lots of toilet paper cleaning the seat every time. FML.
