The annual THON fundraiser and dance marathon at PSU finished today. Below is the link to what the students raised this year to fight cancer among kids. $89 million raised since 1977 to fight pediatric cancer.

The NYT released an article this week on THON that scratches the surface of what the experience is like. Work is already in process for next year it is truly student run. I hope you enjoy the read because it is really and amazing event and project to behold.

A lot of people have been very critical of "Penn State" over Sandusky's horrible acts. Obviously Sandusky is a monster and a number of people at Penn State (and outside of Penn State) dropped the ball, but as a whole the students at Penn State do more for kids than any other university - yet the University is still painted with one brush.
