Someone point out this punch to me because I don't see it. I'm inviting a storm of "the NBA is rigged" comments and, frankly, they won't sound too silly. Not sure how Memphis wins this series on the road with no Randolph and a gimpy Conley.

I'm sure ZBo has thrown hands off the court to a higher degree than this, but going by the letter of the NBA law, that's a punch. on another note, I can't remember a player agitating the hell outta other players quite like Adams. That's like the 4th or 5th punch or elbow thrown at him this season.

If that's the letter of the law then they need to change the law, that was nothing. What does the rule say exactly?

In real time it is difficult to see but ZBo almost simultaneously elbowed him in the stomach with his left while throwing the punch. It was a powerful punch, landing solidly on Adam's chin and moved his whole body over...so packed a lot of power. Many have been knocked out from such a punch.

A powerful punch? It was a shove with a closed fist, guessing you've never felt a powerful punch.

Turns out he's used to being banged around as he's the youngest of 18 kids. Believe he's from New Zealand. He has a sister who's an Olympic shot put gold medalist who's 6'4 and 260 lbs. His brothers average 6'9. Said his siblings roughed him up pretty good as a kid and he never complained cause then he got it even worse. Unique character. I think he's gonna end up being really good.

Tell me that's not from one mother.

Rick Mahorn and Bill Laimbair beg to differ on agitating players.

Closes fist, coc ks arm, swings, connects to the jaw. The degree to which you would call it a hard punch vs. a soft punch is searching for grey area where there is none - it's still a punch to the head, away from the ball, pre-meditated (at a target who wasn't even looking). Easy call, suspension-wise. The NBA hasn't tolerated 300 pound men throwing fists around since 1977.

Eh. I just saw the "punch", and really, there wasn't much there. Even if you were to make the argument that it was a closed fist, there was hardly enough force there to warrant a suspension. Regular season? I'm fine with the one game. But a game seven is too important.

I should be rooting for OKC because of all the UConn players and I love Durant but I find myself rooting for Memphis every game, they are just so much tougher. It's early and I'm sure eventually OKC will pull away but if they don't and Memphis wins it would be absolutely pathetic by OKC. Brooks is so clueless, all that talent and no plan.

This memphis team with Gasol as the 1 big is intriguing. They will still lose however, Thunder haven't even kicked it into its highest gear. You know if Lamb was on the grizzlies he would probably get minutes. Does everything and more that Lee does

+1, it's tough not to root for Memphis in this series. Oklahoma City is just so much more athletic, and they have the two best players on the floor, but Memphis just has a bunch of gamers out there.

Lamb isn't half the defender that Lee is.

I would have loved to see who won with ZBo out there for the Grizz, but that was just inexcusably dumb. Can't do that and win a first round series much less an NBA title. Too bad Memphis isn't in the east.

He was suspended the next game.
But he was not called for a foul or ejected from that game.

Z-BO was an idiot to let this dude pimp him in such a manner. Still, I would not have suspended him for that.

That is the purpose of that dude, he gives energy and 6 fouls in 20 havoc filled minutes. Because it was game 7 I'd like to have found a way not to suspend ZBo but I think it is/was unavoidable.
