OT. The Vue (Laurelview) Golf

Has anyone played this Hamden course lately?
What condition is it in?

I played it last year and the course itself was fine but there were still a ton of cutdown trees that had to be removed. The areas between holes was a mess but the holes themselves are fine. It's a work in progress.

I haven’t played there in 20 years. I looked it up and it says 18 holes. My memory is it was only 9. Did they expand?

Always 18 pretty nice in the 80s-90s but kinda went to crap. Bet I havent played it in 20-25 years.

You might be thinking of Sleeping Giant GC or heavens even Meadowbrook.

Yeah. I have played all of those. I am probably confusing them. But not in years. Rarely play in that part of the state recently.

I played there a couple of times this year. Vastly improved from the previous years.

Thanks all. I played there a lot when i lived in Hamden. Then i moved a bit away and knew the place had gone downhill. I plated there once last year and between the dirt and wood piles and all the trees the tornado took down it was a little disorienting. From the last comment it seemd to be rounding into shape i will give it a go soon.

You might be thinking of Sleeping Giant GC or heavens even Meadowbrook.

I used to play Meadowbrook all the time as a kid. That course was a dump lol. I do miss it though; nostalgia is a hell of a drug.

Meadowbrook was on the way out soon after we moved to Hamden. Never played there. Sleeping Giant a few times, the driving range more often. Took grandchildren to Aunt Chilada’s for bogus Mexican food.
