I remember the field being in not so good shape after the Stones concert. Good to see other uses for the Rent though.
Some of one end zone was brown. You would have thought there were tank traps on the 50.

I attended all past concerts at the Rent. Two by Springsteen in 2003 during a potential hurricane in September, the Stones on my birthday in late August and the Police with a beautiful full moon. I will not be attending this concert. People from Hartford Southend could hear the concerts and there were multiple complaints from East Hartford residents during the shows.

I remember the plastic grid that they put on the field which chewed up the field a bit.

I'd love to see more concerts at The Rent. I'm sure that'll help bring in some "bigger" names so we don't have to go to NYC or Boston

There were big complaints after the first Bruce show. Not-so-much the second. I don't remember outcry any after The Police.

My comment aside having more concerts is a good thing because it will mean the venue is maintained. I just hope they got the concert to pay for the re-sodding

Think this is pretty significant for the venue. The Rent does not throw events unless they know it will be profitable because UConn covers their losses up to $250k. Therefore, they prefer to lose money by not hosting events. Laziness exemplified by quasi state run org.

Hopefully this will prove that there is a market for events outside of Football and 1 soccer game per year... Events bring in more revenue and justify the price tag for renovations that are seriously needed.

I got my tix to the USMNT game against Turkey, so your welcome.

I’m guessing this is the Oak View Group using its influence (which is a good thing).

Enjoy. I watched Landon's last game for USMNT at the Rent in 2014. Entered the stadium and sat with the American Outlaws. Great time. Landon came out after the match and helped lead "I believe that we can win" chant. Good times.

Nice. I was at the US v Germany game a few years ago. It's a great little stadium for soccer.

UConn /Rent part of a dying breed. Put in artificial turf like every one else. They can cover the field for concerts.

I thought the prevailing was to switch to grass

Nah. That would mean no more soccer.
