Bought a Whalers hat for $5 from Lids after someone posted the sale last week. Been wearing it this week and people in Buffalo keep giving me the thumbs up for the hat.

Peter Good is very right about the invisibility of the H. I've pointed it out to a few people over the years. The reaction is frequently the same. Something along the lines of..."I have never noticed the H before"

IIRC, it wasn't universally loved when it was released. I remember seeing tape of the unveilling with Baldwin explaining the "H" and thinking that it was awesome. We're the newest team in the league and we have the best logo!

The NHL store in midtown Manhattan (on 6th ave) always seems to have the vintage Whalers stuff (hats, pucks, jerseys, etc) - so it would seem that people are buying the merchandise. I bought a Whalers hat there as well.

Also, on occasion I have seen people wearing Whalers merchandise in Manhattan and Long Island.... (in addition to UConn games).

The Whale lives on.

I live here in Florida and wore my Whalers jacket the other night and someone complimented me and said he hasn't seen anything Whalers for a longtime.

If you've never been to UConn hockey game, tonight is the night.

A full crowd in blue and green on national TV would be AWESOME!

Tonight will help spring board UConn hockey on the national stage and help the rest of the nation realize we still love the whale.

This sounds great.

But----Vermont's main color is green.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Ah....I just noticed the H for the first time today.

The H was the first thing I noticed. Then I noticed that awful "W" which isn't very graphically ecstatic. But it still works beautifully.

The Whalers logo is purely classic
The design and colors are so cool that it wears well and appeals to a huge cross section of people
Its a shame what happened to hockey in Hartford
I get compliments on my Whalers stuff everywhere I go.

So I've looked at the promo for more than 5 seconds and don't know what channel game is on.

It's a nice logo but everyone knows it was stolen from Tiger Woods.

It almost seemed like everyone had/has a soft spot for the Whale. Outside of CT you always hear "they were my second favorite team. I've never been able to find another example of this in any sport or league. Such a shame so many people were hell bent on ruining what could have been a great hockey market.

I still rock my original 1995 snapback. It's in perfect shape other than my name written by my 6 year old self on the inside of the brim. Now living in Alabama I get an "alright, Whalers!" every now and then.
