OT: The future of NHL players at the Olympics

With the revelation that John Tavares will be out for the rest of the season with a torn MCL/Torn meniscus (a injury that could be a career changer) and some owner's like the Flyer's Ed Snyder making noise about not wanting his players in the Olympics anymore...this could be the end. I know things happen...but for you Islander fans this is the worst possible scenario.

The Islanders' market is too valuable. I don't think we'll have NHL players in the next Olympics. Maybe the KHL will play their players, though.
