Instead of putting the teams in a limited geographic region -- southwest and south -- don't you think they should have been located in diverse locations. Maybe areas that do not have a NFL team. The Rent, for instance, could have been used as a home field for a Hartford-region team. The schedule could have been from mid spring to mid summer. There is enough interest and talent out there to offer an option to the NFL.

The Rent was part of the last failed league. The placement of the teams was a feature not a bug.
