SB Nation has a hilarious look at just how god awful BC's offense was the past year: http://www.teamspeedkills.com/2015/...cing-the-addazio-ratio-pass-completions-punts

Basically the "Adazzio Ratio" is the number of completed passes to punts. BC this past year completed 110 passes and punted 92 times for a ratio of 1.20.

That is comically bad...and this is coming from a survivor of the HCPP/GDL UConn years.

Historically the 1.20 puts this year's BC eagles above some very special company...

TEAM COMPLETIONS PUNTS ADDAZIO RATIO
2015 Boston College 110 92 1.20
2014 New Mexico 76 57 1.33
2012 New Mexico 79 55 1.44
2008 UCF 132 90 1.47
2013 Miami (Ohio) 131 83 1.58
2009 New Mexico State 133 82 1.62
2015 New Mexico 108 64 1.69
2011 Eastern Michigan 110 64 1.72
2013 Florida International 153 88 1.74
2011 Ohio State 125 71 1.76

And if you take out the 800-0 win over Howard if must be amazing.

Holy cow that was bad. What was that stat in the PP years?

I'd have to go back and look it up, but not bad enough to put those teams in the Top 10 worst of all time that the article cites.

Update: in 2013 HCPP last year when the bottom fell out, the Huskies completed 241 passes and punted 71 times for an Adazzio ratio of 3.39.

In 2014 in the 2-10 debacle under HCBD, UConn completed 185 passes and punted 74 times for an Adazzio ratio of 2.5.

So even at our worst, we were twice as efficient as this year's BC program on offense.
