15. President Trump has reference by tweet this week a story that he previously told about General Blackjack Pershing's time in the Philippines. Facing resistance to American rule over the islands from predominantly Muslim unfriendliness, President Trump stated that General Pershing had 50 prisoners taken. He instructed that a firing squad be convened and that the bullets be dipped in pig's blood, which is an unclean animal according to Muslims. 49 of the prisoners in the President's story were executed with the Pig Blood bullets and the 50th was told what had been done and was released to tell the other rebels. According to the President, this ended rebel activity in the Philippines for 30 years. It is unclear what the genesis of this story was, but it has been debunked by historians and honestly by any exercise of common sense.

15. (You are doing it again) that Blackjack Pershing dipped 50 bullets in pigs blood and shot 49 suspected Muslim terrorists and told the 50th terrorist to go back and tell everyone what happened. As a result there was no Muslim terrorism for 35 years. a total falsehood that has been recently repeated.
16. The blue whale
19. that they could have three days of fun and music and have nothing but fun and music.

14..It's about meat packing...and the state?

15..Game and VAUC have the whole sordid nonsense.

16..Go with Pinot, as several puzzling deaths recently bring new concern.

17..It is about an Amendment, but not the repeal of Prohibition one.

18..Game & Big with FDR.

19..Yes, chj, BUT DON'T HIT REPLY!

20..Hey, VAUC, where are your guesses?

21..SVC's librarian-in-residence strikes again. For clarity's sake, "align" means actual changing residences to pockets of like-minded folk.

22..Not India, but an African place that's an amalgam of two once-separate nations.

23..SVC says "I prefer not" to remember it, but, as often is the case, the mind does not obey. Big is OK with things.

24..Game begins a foursome with your local team.

25..The mothers of VAUC & SVC say we gave the world our only besotted sons.

Sad to say A & B have a high amount of misses.

Wirechief - a lot of misses because, methinks, your quizzes have been tough. A lot of stuff I certainly didn't know, and the common stuff that lots of folks got, I never add to the pile. And I tend to hate wild guesses.

As always, though, fascinating stuff.

Don't change the degree of difficulty. Personally I like the challenge. Also you introduce me to new and interesting topics to learn.

I love that I frequently don't know any of the answers. I'm usually decent at trivia, but not these tests of general knowledge. Enjoy them greatly.
