22. In his biography of Winston Churchill, William Manchester relates an amusing
anecdote involving Clement Atlee:

Churchill walks into the men's room at the House of Commons and finds Atlee
positioned at one end of a line of urinals. Churchill positions himself at the
opposite end.

Atlee says: "A bit standoffish today, are we Winston?"

Churchill replies: "Well I don't dare stand next to you. Every time you see something
big you want to nationalize it."

Only by facing the beast can one hope to overcome it. It's the 50th anniversary, after which I shall mention it no more.

14..VAUC & Waq provide the song sooner, rather than later. Waq tells us to think Grass Roots.

15..And Waq again Rolls.

16..Waq charms us a 3rd time, connecting Taft(not Diana Ross) to the home of the Supremes.

17..Yes it's a Fats hit, Blue Monday. Credit to Drive & VAUC.

18..The North Atlantic Treaty, giving rise to NATO. Zorro is alone here.

19..Judge O'Connor penned it, as VAUC and Waq both make a not-so-wild guess. (I don't think either has read it,
but I can assure them it is quite readable.)

20..JR, zorro & VAUC provide Gnomes, uh, Phones...no, Thrones...Yes, that's it.

21..Pinot & VAUC correctly cite Howard Cosell.

22..Clement Atlee, with a special recognition to Ed4 for the tale above. Rbny too, though he was taleless.

23..VAUC provides Christopher Walken.

24..1173

25..The Scot was a Protestant minister, who kept his Sundays holy.

Aren't you glad someone is watching out for your excitement in the off-season?
