The members of the Triple Entente were Britian, France and Russia. Italy joined in 1915. Japan along with a bunch of military 2nd rate countries were considered minor members. Japan's greatest contribution was probably sea control but the long term effect was to expand Japan's influence in the region and set the stage for WW2. Italy OTOH was a major power in the war.

But I'll cut you some slack since Japan entered the war in 1914 and Italy not until 1915.
