16. 1940's
18. The Dirty Dozen - a movie whose plot is largely forgotten, but my vague memory seems to recall that Marvin was a renegade soldier assigned to gather up imprisoned soldiers to go on a mission to hinder the German war effort during World War II. The only reason this movie even sticks in my memory is because it was Jim Brown's first movie.
19. Malaysia
21. Four Dead in Ohio, a song about the four Kent State students killed by national guardsman during a campus protest.(I looked up Golden Flashes).
25. Three young ladies who will be representing the US Gymnastics team in London.

22. folks keep saying Adams. Obviously, I may be wrong, but I'm almost positive that it was a fellow Virginian who lived fairly nearby. I guessed Madison, but it could have been Monroe - I keep thinking it's a name that begins with "M".

14..Actually, the book first came out in 1967, and the author was older than the Silence of the Lambs guy. But the beginning of the title is a dead giveaway IF you are at all familiar. Thomas Harris--I'm OK: You're OK. Puzzling that no one knew.

15..Well, Louisiana Tech is real close.

17..Your answers so far are, um, smelly.

22..Now, Pinot, your answer is quite logical, in that you'd think he'd expire from his compulsion about his wife's ice cream.
