i had the same problem. Its only free on the amazon store not the google play store. Install the amazon store on your device and download tapatalk from there.

This may be because you are using the Google installer...

I just downloaded Amazon App Store and TapaTalk. I was perfectly content using my mobile internet browser, but I can see why this is so popular. Thanks for the way to get it for free...
