I dont need duct tape. But if uconn was one i would get a roll just to spread around boston next time im up north. My point is who cares what product ut is. Its advertising are brand power. Those were all big boys or big brands. We need to want to be there and then work to get it. Bsu was a choice. So was army. Thats a prestigious school and a community college included with a bunch of big boy schools. So i would love to know why uconn cant have a roll of duct tape.

You do realize that the phone call probably went something like this.

UConn : hi, we're interested in putting our brand on your tape.

Duct : great! We have a minimum production run of 25k, the 25k needs to be sold within a year or the school is on the hook for the amount that isn't sold.

UConn : 25k sure sounds like a lot, is there any room to negotiate.

sorry. i didn't mean to go ape on the duct tape. but it caught my eye. te magazine is great and i think thats the type of good pr we need to aim to get somehow(slip the writer some $ hint hint for a ranking). i check our a couple tgate sites everyonce in awhile and always think of why aot of teams have all this decked out and we dont....

I do agree that we have a great taligating scene that doesn't get it's due regard because of the sterile enviornment the other 45 weeks of the year.

i think the issue is every time i see something college sports wise either uconn is ripped apart media wise or just not included and it all gos back to the roots of the issue which is the ad being small time and having no clue what big time is. if i was ad i invite the write of that type of article to the rent for the game vc michigan, have a good respectable time no matter the game outcome and as your droping him off at the airport let him know his trip is paid for flying food hotel balh blah as a thank u for the time he gave to check uconn out and the talks u had while tgating etc.... we need to force our way into the light, ppl with balls will do so.

UCONN has a great tailgating atmosphere. It was better before they plopped a giant Cabela's in the middle of prime tailgating space, but it is still a great time.

I do wish they relaxed the rules a little bit in regards to how long you can stay after a game.
