OT: Syracuse playing a ranked team out of conference????

SU has a very good record the past five years against ranked OOC opponents. Not counting this year (no games yet) they are 9-0 the previous five seasons.

Of those 9 games, they break down as such:
1-0 at home (UF)
3-0 at NYC (UNC, Cal, MSU)
2-0 in Missouri (UF, UK)
1-0 aircraft carrier (SDSU)
2-0 away (UF, Memphis)

Same five year time frame UConn has played 13 games against ranked teams and is 10-3.

Of those 13:
2-0 Virgin Islands (Miami, Wisconsin)
2-0 Maui (UK, MSU)
1-0 Bahamas (FSU)
1-0 Germany (MSU)
2-0 CT (Texas, Harvard)
0-3 NYC (UK, Duke, NCSt)
2-0 away (UT, Gonzaga)

As it stands right now, SU plays Baylor in Maui and UConn plays Florida at home.

If no team moves up and you count the previous four seasons plus this years prospective schedule SU drops to 7 ranked OOC games, UConn drops to 11. So a bit over one a year the previous 4 seasons + current schedule for this year, for SU. It's not often. UConn is over two per season. Neither plays a ton "at home".

Now IU could be ranked, and maybe Nova which would increase the number for SU. Harvard could for UConn.

See, the flaw in your plan is thinking they exist in actual reality with the rest of us where facts and logic matter. They exist in the Syracuse alternate reality bubble, where our past accomplishments mean nothing and their lack of accomplishment is because they were screwed by the refs.
