The link is to a story in the JI from yesterday. Sydnee is a national level talent in track from Windsor High. Good luck to her. She mentions the Olympics...her Mom was an Olympian [Canada]. Her brother is a baseball player at UConn. I was hoping she would go to UConn but I figure that would have been an upset. She hopes to run the 400 and 800 next year at FSU.
There is a senior at Hillhouse in New Haven [Patience Something?] who is also an elite track kid.
Patience has had the better 400 times...seems to have more topspeed than Sydnee...maybe not the endurance at this point. Wonder where she is headed.
I hope these two tangle come spring....and set some state records that will last.
BTW: Sydnee plays hoops for Windsor High as well....opened with a double-double.
