Due to unfortunate (or fortunate) circumstances at work and the rescheduling of my part of the project that is slowly driving me insane, it appears I may have an opportunity to take a mini vacation in November to travel to lovely Palo Alto to take in an away game.

For those of you Boneyarders that are old hats at road games, what is the best way to go about getting tickets? Does UConn sell a block of away game tickets so fans can sit together?

Thanks!

I don't know for sure, of course, but it is probably unlikely. Schools rarely sell tickets for away women's games, and (conversely) schools don't often make such allotments available. I know of instances where it has happened, but rarely, and I doubt the UConn ticket office would be involved especially since the game is on the left coast.

Schools do set aside allotments for players' family, of course, and that is often how we got to sit with other fans at well attended away games (including the recent WNIT championship). At Rutgers, if actual guests of the team are less than the number available on the guest list, then the seats are usually made available to fans, but obviously I don't know about UConn.

Depending on the school, we have also been able to get decent tickets by telling them we are fans of the away team, however, with the quantity of UConn fans that may be more difficult.

You can sometimes get a Stanford alum to buy you advance tickets. Even at the XL Center, my brother got Stanford seats through his alumni association.
