OT - Spurs/Clips

Golden State is the only team I can see knocking off the Spurs.

I'm not a Clips fan, it just seems like there's something off about them, but I was really hoping to see a Clips/Warriors series for the sheer animosity alone.

Finally, dude can get that shot every possession and he's money from that range. This 4th quarter is huge, I see Spurs getting it done last 2 minutes.

The Spurs have clearly tried to make Chris Paul a scorer this entire series - they're really pinching out to the three point line and inviting a lot of mid-range jumpers. Seems like Blake or CP3 can get a mid-range jumper basically whenever they want it.

Drives me crazy when the Spurs switch a big onto CP3 late in the shot clock and instead of looking for his own shot he dumps it into Blake.

Worked that time but not in game five.

No rhyme or reason to this series, props to Paul and Griffin they made the plays. The last 2 seconds were entertaining just because Kevin Harlan doesn't know basic NBA rules.

Pretty impressive performance by LAC and 2nd half by CP3, glad the NBA isn't going to be stupid and run game 7 against the fight.

Undercard starts 9 ET, probably not until 11 or so.

Nah no sarcasm, I was expecting the NBA to do something stupid and tip at 9est or even worse 10:30est. An 8:00est start means the game should be done by 11, main event of Pac/May will likely be 11:30est at the earliest.

All true, but I'm happy to see the Spurs gone. I still can't forgive them for the bulls*** thugball they played for most of the '00s, including the year they knocked out Ray's Sonics.

They are more likable now then when they had Bruce Bowen, I wanted to see Duncan tie MJ in titles. I think he needs to be talked about more amongst the all time greats.

That's the depth of the Western conference right now. Now you get the Clippers and Houston which should be another great series, although I think Houston will win.

That was a series worthy of being played in the NBA finals. IMO, they were the second and third best teams in the league. Just basketball being played at an absurdly high level.

I have no idea how the Clippers recover from that battle in time to win game one @ Houston on Monday, especially with Paul hobbled. They have to be physically and emotionally spent.
