Figures the first thread I've ever attempted to share on here is off topic.

I offer this piece from The Player's Tribune by Alisson, Liverpool FC's goalkeeper, largely regarded as among the best, if not the best at his positon, in the world.

So eloquently written, so touching, it goes to the very heart and soul of what makes programs such as ours so special. Sport offers so much more than wins v losses, national championships, or league titles. I think there's a lot here that could well be applied to the lifelong bonds coach and staff engender with the players at UConn, and among the players themselves.

PS for those that are curious - the goal to which Alisson refers in the piece. He was the first goalkeeper to score a headed goal in the Premier League, and the only goalkeeper to score in any official match in Liverpool FC's 125+ year history. Arlo White on the call for NBC.
