OT: Spanier found guilty

This comes as no surprise to me. Anyone with a contemporary frontline knowledge of university administrations could trace the flow of decision making, and suspect (or more than just suspect) that the coverup had to reach the top.

Good point, Coco. But I'm not sure that really changes my feelings very much. I almost wish it did; that would be more consistent with my values.

I have known several college presidents at close range. I found some to be quite honest and likable, while a couple others were true rats. But the trait they all share is that they are control freaks who establish multiple personal infomation networks. The objective of same is to know what goes on in as many relevant quarters as possible.

So, Spanier is aquitted of having such a network and/or being in tune with it.

But again, thank you for the correction.
