#SouthernMiss football coach Ellis Johnson will not return for the 2013 season

0-12 in first year! 12-2 last year but Southern Miss had a new QB and only 10 starters returning.Johnson came from Spurrier's staff @ SC

6-6 would've saved him. 0-12 in a coaches first year is grounds to be canned on the spot.

USM returned 8 offensive starters, including two solid RB's. It's unbelievable that they couldn't scratch out a win against their weak@$$ schedule.

Johnson will receive the buyout as called for in his contract, about $2.1 million for the three remaining years

The sad thing is this guy is a quality defensive coach... Previously Asst Head Coach for Defense for the Old ball Coach and was defensive cooridinator at Clemson, Alabama and Miss State.
