The Red Rockers cover a song about the Enola Gay - Shades Of 45.

The sky is falling,
The future calling,
Lady Armageddon's here to stay

The Ebola Gay is in the Air & Space annex at Dulles Airport. It’s fully restored and really beautiful.

Styx.
Crystal Ball.
1976.

I wonder what tomorrow has in mind for me.
Or am I even in it's mind at all.
Perhaps I'll get a chance to look ahead and see.
Soon as I find myself a crystal ball.

Pink Floyd.
Dark Side of the Moon.
Time.
1973.

And you run, and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking.
Racing around to come up behind you again.
The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older.
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death.

Blood, Sweat, & Tears - God Bless the Child:

And when you got money,
You got a lots of friends
Crowdin' 'round your door
When the money's gone
And all you're spendin' ends
They won't be 'round any more.......

Genesis.
Dusk.
1970.

If a leaf has fallen.
Does the tree lie broken?

And if we draw some water.
Does the well run dry?

of course, the answer always is

i got an old pal out west from beagle school daze, a native, original Cali girl she is, who started writing down my sayings (family tradition for at least a hundred and fiddy years -- good stuff like 'an ox has a long tongue but can't speak. this one came to me in german. lots of the hungarian ones are really funny, and wise, too. the yankee/ bobby frost ones are sum of the best. here's one, "I'm not confused, I'm just well mixed." another gem of his, "Most of the change we think we see in life is due to truths being in and out of favor.")
she really likes this meager contribution of mine to the list;
'u get a stiff neck looking backwards.' yup, and, ergo, i whizz on the sadness of both baker street and take the long way home. wasted energy.
life is too short.
nice sounds tho.

Alot going on in this world, love, hate, war, crime, etc. Some songs are fun, lively, good to dance to, but there are those that may have a message, make you think about things long after the song is over. Even songs of the past are relevant today, with a greater impact than when they were first released. I apologize that I don't know how to post a song or album to this forum, but I will offer my first song that I hold very dearly. I hope you will show us others that may have had an impact on you.
My offering is "Imagine" by the late John Lennon.

I think about this every day.

There will be a day with no more tears.
No more pain and no more fears.
There will be a day.
When the burdens of this place.
Will be no more.

Jeremy Camp.
There Will Be A Day.

more bobby.
“Half the world is composed of people who have something to say and can't, and the other half who have nothing to say and keep on saying it.”

“Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one’s definition of your life; define yourself.”

“Forgive, O Lord, my little jokes on Thee
And I'll forgive Thy great big one on me.”

“Freedom lies in being bold.”

“The rain to the wind said,
You push and I'll pelt.'
They so smote the garden bed
That the flowers actually knelt,
And lay lodged--though not dead.
I know how the flowers felt.”

ahh, the classics, mon. dey neva die.

My kid's middle school social studies played these two songs to emphasize that even though time go by people are always questioning, seeking to make things better. This was around 2006. He thought that everyone would know the later singer but none of them would know the singer from the sixties. Kudos to my son for knowing Bob Dylan.
