OT: Songs About Summer

This song may not mention summer specifically, but it certainly has summer vibe to it.

I followed them early on, from when they were the Continental Drifters. I stopped following them when I moved and was no longer in touch with the brother of one of the members. It’s great to hear them again.

Bad to Me - popular in the summer of '64, I remember hearing it while I was floating on a raft in this beautiful pond. It was being played from a jukebox in a small dance hall on the shore....and it drifted across the water to me way out there on this raft. Reminds me so, so, much of summer.

It’s not exactly about the summer, but I always associate being on the water with summer. I love this little ditty by Beach House.

Love the original, and recently heard Henley do a slower acoustic version, but I like this edgier version more than the slow one.
Thanks, me too, which is why I chose it over Henley's!

Robbie Robertson - Somewhere Down the Crazy River:

"I was feeling like a stranger in a strange land
You know, where people play games with the night
God, it was too hot to sleep......"
