.-.
Well, here's a start:

okay, we're drifting away from a specific time to general references to time. So, I can post this greatest of all great allusions (and illusions!) to time by the greatest soprano ever (disagree with me on who that is? put up your dukes!)

Since Ella is here Billie needs to be represented.

I've got your back on this one. Anyone want some of this?

And if anyone has ever been this is definitely a specific time and place that has no rival:

Of course there is always the Count again:

Best post of all time for these reasons:
1. Grace Kelly.
2. Best movie of the western genre (according to me).
3. Best song in a western (I'm listening to it now, even as I type, and listened to it about 5 times before I started typing).
4. Grace Kelly (I know I've already listed this).
5. Overcoming insurmountable odds is always a popular theme (Armageddon & others).
6. I'm still listening to the song.
7. Grace Kelly (I know I've already listed this twice).

I give this one million unofficial likes to go along with my official like.
Tried to come up with my favorite Grace Kelly movie, but couldn't decide between these three (two of them Hitchcock films, what a shocker): Rear Window, Dial M for Murder and High Noon.

What, no To Catch A Thief. 'You know as well as I these diamonds are paste.' 'They may be, but I'm not!'

Love 'To Catch a Thief' also. Great chemistry with Cary Grant in that one. As a huge 'Hitch' fan, I can't think of one of his films I didn't like--well, maybe 'Family Plot' from the '70s--certainly not among his best.

Now here's a very good list of the all time top westerns:

The Best Western Films of All Time

"High Noon" comes in at #4.

Two of Sergio Leone's masterpieces, "For a Few Dollars More" and "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" take the #3 and #1 spots respectively.

How about Clint's later stuff, like 'Unforgiven' and 'Pale Rider'? Not Clint, but I especially like '3:10 to Yuma', both the '57 original and the remake in '07.
