Had to eat Georgetown tickets because I couldn't get up to Hartford and the Springsteen concert for tomorrow night got canceled. What should have been a great weekend turned into a horrible weekend.

Ouch!

16 inches here in Guilford. My son is almost done.

You know you may have waited too long plow when the snow is over the plow, not the auger, but the top of the discharge blade.

We probably got 24" but drifts were easily 3.5'. Two towns over it was 33".

Only ended up with about 4" here in New Fairfield. Didn't even have to get out the snow thrower, did everything by hand. And it was all gassed up and everything :(
So I roll the Ariens to the garage door opening and look in the tank...EMPTY! I trudge to the shed and find the gas container with about 1/2 pint of gas.

Can't believe I did 90% of the driveway with it. Now off for some dog walkin'. Then go Pats!

The Duquense Dukes spent 30 hours - including two nights - on a bus stuck on the PA Turnpike.

I'm now rooting for them to win the A10 Tourney.

Wonder what the on-board crapper smelled like after that?

21" in North Jersey. Tackled the storm in phases, so it did not overwhelm my mid-range snowblower. Cleaned-up today and took out the roof rake for the second time since moving to NJ from NH to be safe. Went sledding today with the kids and the schools are open tomorrow.

NYC built their plan around he national weather service, which blew the forecast. Went from 6" to 12" the day before to 20" to 30" the day of forcing the city to shut down at 2:30 or so. Glad it was on a Saturday as a lot of people would have been stuck int he City or in transit if this happened on a weekday.

PS - The same national weather service has sunny skies for this Thursday and Friday. The local weather blogger by me who nailed this storm (and Sandy) says there is a 70% chance of a repeat of Saturday's storms on Thursday and Friday; but, the storm will be a bit warmer and will move a lot faster, so just 6" to 12".
