I'm finishing up another trip home to Connecticut.

Was fortunate enough to see the snow and enjoy winter. Cue the Progressive commercial. I got to shovel the driveway three times over the weekend.

I am somewhere between interested, curious, and intrigued at the different levels of effort Nutmeggers put in to cleaning snow off of car before they hit the road.

There is a range from pristine cleaning of frint windshield down to barely a square big enough to see through. Some leave the snow on the roof, some don't bother cleaning off the passenger side. Some don't clean the rear window, they just let the wiper or rear defrost do what they can.

Depends on how tough it is to clean. I will always wipe down the windows and wind shields and head out, although I will let the defroster do the work on the side and rear window if they are icy. Modern defrosters are pretty effective, so why risk getting covered with snow or scratching the car? I don't go too crazy on the top of the car, especially if I am in business attire.

3 inches is my over/under to deal with snow on the roof. Less, and I feel like if someone is driving close enough behind me that snow coming off my car is a problem for them, they should stop tailgating. If it is more than 3 inches, I will brush the top layer off to get it down below 3 inches. I don't like running the brush along the roof because the brush can scratch.

I try to park in the sun or a garage if my car has ice and/or snow on it, even if it is a longer walk, because the sun will do a lot of the work for me. I don't park in the spot right next to the building if it is in the shade, because I risk re-freezing whatever melting happened up to that point.
Are you brushing your car with a steel-bristled brush?

I never really thought of a leaf blower mainly because my parents had a steady supply of leaf rakers, of which I was the youngest.
I've never even seen a leaf blower at my folks house.

But if I had one, it seems like an effic8ent option.
Don't get it: 15 x the air pollution of a car, and plenty of noise pollution too

I have cordless leaf blower which works well for my .25 acre in FL Same power pack for weed whacker. Not noisy but not very powerful either.

Buddy I don't even tailgate but snow is a bigger factor because if there's no snow on the car, it can't possibly hit someone else's car. But I know you struggle with nuance and actually paying attention to what other people are saying. And yes I KNOW YOU PARK IN A GARAGE THAT'S NOT THE POINT

It is not even close. If you tailgate. you are one step back from a murderer in terms of how much of a menace you are to others on the road. If you leave a little snow on the car, you are just an annoyance.

I park in a garage (#19).

yeah he's rage baiting at this point because I have said multiple times I don't tailgate and also mentioned the fact that other people on the road have nothing to do with his car. either that or he has the reading comprehension of a 2 year old

My point about not tailgating should not be remotely controversial. The fact that making it also works as rage baiting on those arguing with me is on them, not me.

Don't know what's more pathetic, to play the victim while having snow on your roof causing an accident or actually counting how many times you park in a garage.

Nelson strikes me as the guy who will constantly slam on his breaks in broad day light with no one in front of him, then gun it on a yellow light or even a red light, yeah I know those types of drivers, those drivers are just as dangerous as aggressive tailgaters. This has to be an act, so well done.

I park my car in a garage (#20).

He doesn’t want to brush off his car because apparently it’s painted with either watercolors or finger paints.

But he parks in a garage and thinks that since he parks in a garage, so does everyone else and brushing the snow off their cars is unnecessary
