OT: Sky waive veteran guard Moriah Jefferson

This makes me feel very sad, and old... :( Head bang:(:confused::mad::oops:

I can still remember talking to her at a season celebration dinner at the practice facility, and I still have a picture of her locker. I would drive to the games wondering what exciting plays she would make that game.

Best wishes to you Moriah

She had a good first year, and was heading toward being an above average starting PG, perhaps an occasional All Star team, but then the injuries started and she has never been the same since.

Her game is very dependent on her exceptional quickness which she lost some of because of the knee issues. We will remember her exceptional career at Uconn, and the fact she clearly showed she could be a good WNBA player as well, before being reduced by injuries.

She had a phenomenal college career followed by a snake-bitten professional career. It's a real pity, not just for her sake, but also because professional basketball never had an opportunity to spectate, enjoy, market, etc. one of the more exciting players in women's basketball.
