Serena didn't play great as she already has 9 or more unforced errors. Still wins the first set 6-1. If I recall correctly she only had 2 service aces. Rain delay couldn't happen at a more opportune time for Radwanska as she'll get to talk to her coach and make strategy changes. Who knows maybe Serena's game changes too. However, I doubt it.

Serena needs an easy match as she has to play for the doubles championship today as well.

If your Plan A was that ineffective, I hate to see what Serena will do to Plan B.

I suspect that she will try to pull Serena forward a bit more, but other than that, there's not much she can do other than make Serena create all of her own power by giving her no pace.

Don't like how safe/cautious Serena is playing. She's keeping Radwanska in the 2nd set and who knows what will happen.

Can't believe Serena gave away the 2nd set after going up a break. Rain Delay pays off for Radwanska. Serena with 27 unforced errors and nerves got to her in the 2nd set.

She practically gave that away. You are right that Serena got tight and passive. She does have a way of making things more interesting that they should be.

This is painful to watch. For anyone who plays tennis we all know the feeling when shots stop going in and it seems like you can't get the ball in the court. That is where Serena seems to be at the moment.

Peeking in on ESPN CourtCast for the score every now and then. If I see Serena get a break, I may turn on the TV again if she maintains the lead and gets a chance to close it out. Or if it goes to a tiebreak. Otherwise too stressful.

Serena's best tennis is better than any woman who's ever played. Her consistency, which was reflected even in this one match, is why I'd have her behind Graf and Navratilova.
