Go Lexi Thompson! Winner of USGA17U title at the Hartford Golf Club in 2008...I think Lexi is 17 now.

Thompson is doing well on the tour. I'm hoping she has a good showing at Locust Hill.

3 under leads after 36....course is playing tough.

Lexi at 2 over....very much in it. Not 'in it' is Michelle Wie....missed cut at 74-82...her game
is in shambles this year.

Paula Creamer is only 1 back and both Stacey Lewis and Christie Kerr are still in it. Kerr bogeyed 5 holes on the front 9 yesterday but got it together on the back.

Wie has had a horrible year. She's missed the cut in 4 of the 7 tournaments she's entered. Her best finish is a T33. Looking at her stats her entire game is gone. I think she might benefit from a visit to Dr. Rotella.

It also may be time she moved on from David Ledbetter. Wie played her best golf when Gary Gilchrist was her coach. At the time Gilchrist worked for Ledbetter and the story is Ledbetter 'stole' her which then caused Gilchrist to go off on his own. I have never been a Ledbetter fan and thus far he has done nothing for Suzann Pettersen. The year Pettersen won five times her coach was.... Gary Gilchrist.
