In an article in the today's Philadelphia Inquirer, the PA State AD cautiously proceeded thru Grand Jury & labored incredibly after the specific testimony of one boy. Looked for corroboration.

A fan on a website, gaining information from McQuery's older brother, wrote an anonymous letter to a county prosecutor & that led to Sandusky in prison.

Paterno knew. I suspect he knew even before Mcreary. He was a control freak, no way he missed this.
