He just might be better than you think. Iona is probably thrilled to have him. He will certainly get an opportunity to shine there.

I agree there is a role for him at Iona. I don't understand all this hate by a couple of posters at Sam.

He sucked and did nothing is more literal and accurate. This is like his 10th school. There is no requirement in life that he has to live up to his father's accomplishments or expectations.

If you knew Sam Jr at all you would know your post is BS. He never compares his basketball accomplishments to his Dad's. Furthermore, I don't sense any expectations from his Dad other than maybe he's glad he is having some fun playing basketball, grateful it's paying for his college and having it as part of his college life.
