ND, if we are talking NCAA, if he's punished it will be for failure to monitor/lack of institutional control and possibly impermissible benefit. But in the court of public opinion, he's screwed. How can he give the "don't worry I'll look after your boy" speech on a home visit again? I guess he'd have to go with "mistakes happened, we've taken steps to be sure it never happens again" but I just think it's a really tough sell for top recruits.

I don't see how even Louisville can keep him. It's too salacious a story.
I certainly don't know this for sure, but I think there will be plenty of parents who don't care. They have to know their kids are going to get a lot of action as star athletes. Escorts or willing coeds. I think there will be plenty of parents who don't care about the difference. There will be others who will trust their children to make the right decision. I mean, parents know their kids will be exposed to all kinds of crazy stuff as star athletes. Chalk it up as "life experience" for their children. I think many will be ok with all this. It will be the type of thing they just don't talk about.

Boggles the mind. Schools provides prostitutes for incoming students.

Would you send your daughter there knowing that?

I think you're a little off, keep in mind these are still kids at the ages we're talking, and I bet you'd find many moms are very controlling and/or worried about their kid's wellbeing. If he's off meeting the fellow freshmen class at a weekend party during the school year, that's different than mom thinking that you're being feasted on in a room of prostitutes. I'd bet a lot of the moms are worried about their babies messing with dirty diseased whores, when they can select what they want anyways

BTW, everyone needs to spend some time on the Louisville board. High comedy. 90% of them are convinced this is a conspiracy against UL.

I'm not talking about my daughter or anyone's daughter. I'm talking about sons. I'm not sure I really want to get into this debate, but I see a difference. Weather they will admit it or not, many see a difference.

I could be off...not really sure. Mostly a theory on my part.

The sports crazed institution that REHIRED Bobby Petrino is not going to fire Rick The Quick over a sex scandal. How do we know:
1) Petrino is at work as I am typing this
2) They didn't fire Rick after the 68 Seconds of Bliss Scandal.

The only way he gets canned is proof he provided money surfaces. I doubt he is that stupid, so I doubt any proof of that nature exists. In fact, I fully expect they will announce a contract extension sometime in the next 5 months.

Confused as to what you are saying really. Obviously women go to college, so my hypothetical is about parenting. This crossed all bounds. I don't have a son, but surely would not want him at a school that tacitly endorsed this thing. No way.

I guess all I was saying is I don't think this will deter a lot of kids or their parents. Some..yes. Not enough for it to matter. But who knows. My opinion is hardly gospel.

If a kid wants to play at a high major in the ACC, many guys and their parents will overlook a LOT of things to do so. Sad, but true.

I can see that. I was referring to students. Not the athletes.

For that matter, Louisville has a good women's bball team. This can't be comfortable for anyone.

I can't speak for him, but here is a possibly apropos corollary. as the father of a high school girl, if a teacher ever thought about touching my daughter there would be one less teacher in this world. If I had a 17 year old son and he scored with a hot teacher, ( like you see on the news all the time ) I would break my sons arm....... From excessive high fiving.

Obviously I'm kidding ( maybe :-)
