Oh my God.........I cannot imagine and pray for those people.....

Read that at work today - just an absolutely gut wrenching story.

Work with the mom and could not be a sweeter lady. Horrible accident that is absolutely unimaginable to what they are going through. Prayers to the family

Why was a 6 year old putting a branch into a woodchipper? It's a horrible tragedy, but a child should not be near that machine.

... I literally would not wish this on my worst enemy. The thought of losing a child is brutal. Losing one in this manner is completely unimaginable to me. I'm pretty sure that it would be an hourly struggle to go on with my life... [/quote said:
My thoughts today exactly.

Why was . . .
Now's not the time for that.
I can't speak for every parent out there, but I know, having been a parent for a very long time, I got lucky a few times. I don't know any parents of grown kids who can honestly say something different. Lost track of a kid for a few minutes. It can happen. Had a kid who needed to be pulled out from under the water in a pool. 15 adults all within 20 feet, but nobody saw it until he was under. Got lucky. Count your blessings. Give your kids a nice hug good morning. Do your best to minimize the chances of tragedy. My theory has always been to do my best to reduce the chances of the big mistake (drowning, hit by car, etc) and don't obsess over the little ones.

I feel for the father and the rest of the family (especially the boys who witnessed this) but this ranks up there with the kid who shot his head off with that machine gun in Mass. Wrong place for kiddies.

Very very tragic news in Salem today. Ughh.

Awful, awful story. I pray that this family can some how recover from this enormous tragedy. A parents worst nightmare is a severe understatement in this case. This puts a perspective on what we are going through as Husky fans. A postseason ban is a the greatest thing known to man compared to what this family is/will go through. God bless.

Held my son a little tighter during story time last night after reading that story yesterday afternoon.
