OT: Ryder Cup...Euro captain picks just made

Poulter, Westwood and Gallacher are added to the 9 automatic qualifiers.
No surprises there.

Tom Watson picks his three tonight at 6:00 on the Golf Channel.

September 26-28 are the dates for the competition...at Gleneagles over there.
It's an American style course but we will be solid underdogs...lots of star power on the Euro team.

Hope Tom uses one of the picks on Keegan Bradley...love his fire and his strong New England ties.

No surprises, but many in Europe expected Luke Donald to be one of the three. Not having a great year, but he is 8-2-1 in previous Ryder Cup play. Prior to this weekend, Donald was still the highest ranked of the four. I think Poulter was automatic but the other two were not sure things.

As for the U.S., I expect the three to come from the group of Bradley, Mahan, Kirk, and Reed. Hopefully not Stricker, despite Watson's good words about him. I think Bradley is a very likely pick due to his play when paired with Phil.
