Now he's a huge process guy.
Duh! No kidding. But if what he did was ask if there was anything the guy could do like extra work that is hardly a federal case in my view. If the kid was getting an A there is no need to contact a prof and ask if he can do anything to get his grade up. So far at least from what I read Flood didn't ask him to change a grade. He asked if the player could do anything to EARN a passing grade. Big difference.
Barchi is a SERIOUS problem/future impediment for ANY coaching hire in ANY sport at RU. He threw Pernetti under the bus after he was duly notified of the Mike Rice situation...and the replacement has been an utter train wreck. What coach in the right mind would want to even interview with Hermann for that job right now.

If flood thought his actions were above board, why did he use his personal e-mail account?
What was written in the e-mail is not relevant. Messages are often conveyed by what is not written. An adjunct professor position is not exactly would is considered highly stable. It is entirely possible the professor would feel threatened by the $million football coach and feel pressured into giving special treatment to the athlete, when it wasn't deserved.
I totally disagree that there is nothing to see here.
Surprising/disappointing about the community college issue. Over the years I've seen a lot of kids choose to go the community college route over four year schools for the first two years. A woman I work with has a daughter that graduated from a top public/academy high school and chose community college over Rutgers, NYU (partial scholarship) and others for financial reasons.Just as a sidebar on adjuncts, my wife, who is an adjunct at a community college in NJ, which are run by the county and not the state, just had her hours cut by 25% due to budget issues. Higher education funding across the state of NJ is flat or trending down while enrollment is up. It's a major issue.
Very weird stuff happening at Rutgers practice today. From Sam Hellman who covers RU from Scout.com.

Practice should end around noon at Rutgers. Never seen police control the entrance in my 8 years here.

Not only is there a police presence at the Hale Center entrance but AD Julie Hermann is at practice. Interesting. Stay tuned.
So you think Delany is doing a face palm yet again? Nobody ever died for dear old Rutgers!
Now know why the PD was there.. http://www.nj.com/rutgersfootball/index.ssf/2015/09/multiple_rutgers_football_players_arrested.html
I don't think UM, tOSU, and PSU needed any more ammunition to outrecruit RU... Those schools sell themselves when compared to Rutgers. However, I do know of a certain school in the region that has done very well in NJ lately, that competes with RU for recruits fairly regularly, that could use this to their advantage...Ditto in North Jersey and yet no word from the President nor AD event though it looks like some knew what was coming and this is going to get way more coverage than their home opener this weekend against powerhouse Norfolk St.

Barchi can't be fired because of his tie to Christie. Hermann can't be fired because of her tie to Barchi, event though neither seem to know how to run a major athletic program. A head has to fall for this, my guess it will be Flood's. Not like Rutgers cares about performance on the field anyway. Harbough, Myer and Franklin will love this as it will make it easier for them to get players in one the key recruiting states.
Can Rutgers convince Greg Schiano to come back? | Politi

Convince him to come back? I half think Schiano hacked into Flood's email and sent the incriminating request.
Hermann isn't going anywhere right now...Barchi will back her up..and this all can be pinned on Flood. RU will be in a really bad jam if the fire Flood...because outside of a retread type like Pasqualoni no coach worth his weight will even want to be associated with those 2 (Barchi & Hermann). Who knows with Hermann's connections to Louisville and Jurich...maybe Garrick McGee will end up in the northeast after all if RU decides to fire Flood. I will say this though...Flood seems to be popular with the NJ HS coaches and can get his foot in the door to talk to Jersey kids. Not all that long ago that wasn't the case...until it was changed by Shady. When he bolted to the NFL and pissed them off, it was Flood who earned their trust and respect. It will be open market in NJ if Flood is fired and it will take a VERY long olive branch to mend this divide for the next RU head coach. I'm VERY glad I'm not a RU fan right now, because for as much joy as the B1G has brought, reality is a living nightmare of 2 incompetent morons being in charge!I enjoyed these few lines (leak):
>>A person close to Schiano made this perfectly clear on Thursday: He isn't even considering a return to Rutgers while his former assistant coach is still fighting for his job, but if Flood is ousted, he is certainly not coming back to Piscataway to work for Julie Hermann.
That would solve two problems with one move, replacing an ineffective and unpopular athletic director with someone who can provide real leadership for this department.<<

You are forgetting its actually 3 incompetent leaders right now - #3 being the guy who hired, Barchi, Governor Christie.

Looks like the kids will be the ones to die for dear old Rutgers.
Meanwhile, RU is tied in the second quarter in their annual battle with Norfolk St.
Christie says suspending accused Rutgers players was 'the appropriate thing'
http://www.nj.com/politics/index.ss...pp.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
>>The governor said his office has been receiving updates from Rutgers' president, Robert Barchi, and will continue to monitor the investigation.
"I only know what I read and I've obviously spoken to the chairman of the Board of Governors and also spoke to my own chief counsel," Christie said. "My staff is in continuous conversation with Dr. Barchi's office and if there's more we have to say we'll say more later today, but we're just getting information as it's coming in."<<
yeah they are all freshmen...I decided to watch the game while flipping around today...RU got stopped on 4th & 1 (run)..and just converted one (pass). Still 7-7Do they have any cornerbacks left?

it's 21-7 RU now...I'll check later. Watching a much existing game outside right now - Ramapo versus Bridgewater-Raritan in girl's soccer.
The Dark Side indeed.
