Damn, I hadn't really tuned into any Rockets games except the one time I caught the tail end of a Rockets/Clips game and Jeff, Johnny Flynn, and Hasheem were all on the court together for mop up duty. He'll get another shot at it, keep grinding.

Bizzare. I just went and checked his stats this year and last game he played 17 minutes grabbed 9 boards and 2 blocks in a win for the Rockets.

Hope he lands somewhere.

I know, wtf? Weird that they would release him after a game he helped them win. It annoys me that Jeff doesn't get a shot in the NBA. He's a very good rebounder, even at this level.

I find it odd that they let him go and not Thabeet, considering Thabeet has been inactive for nearly every game.

They had to release him by 6pm today. So they gave him a last second tryout against a Denver team that was hindered by injuries up front.

All I can say is WTF!

I hope Houston regrets getting rid of him the sameway they did to Lin.

Funny, I just checked on him today too! Not only that, but he had something like a +16 for the game. So he obviously belonged out there. The NBA's a numbers game. He'll get another shot somewhere else.

Maybe he'll come back home and work out with the team, help instill some of his intensity and tenacity with our big guys.

I think Thabeet is better trade bait. You know like a throw-in to the mix.

There just isn't enough playing time for him in Houston. At least he got some time in and the rest of the league has some more to go on in terms of evaluating him. He'll find a spot somewhere. The Lin situation is a perfect example as he has found a team where he can play. The Knicks have a bunch of bums at his position so it's a nice fit for him. I don't remember him with Houston for any extended period of time, but I do remember him with Golden State but I am not sure what happened there.

When Adrien played in Golden State, he was doing pretty decent, he was a regular on the court, playing, grabbing rebounds, taking shots, until he was waived to make space for a guy that makes me wonder how the heck is he in the league, Acie Law IV.
