OT RIP Leslie West

I know there's a lot of rock and rollers on the BY. Mr. West was definitely one of my influences although I could never get his tone out of any of my guitars. He'll be missed but his music lives on.

Loved listening to West, Bruce and Lang. Why Dontcha'; Mississippi Queen! He'll be missed. I think he used Dean guitars.

Humble Pie! Theres a name I haven't heard of in a while. Four Day Creep; I Don't Need No Doctor! I understand that when they first started, the lead singer used to turn his back to the audience because he was so shy.

That's interesting to hear, as I recall the lead singer's high-pitched voice as the "frontman" of Humble Pie, similar to Leslie West's guitar as the frontman of Mountain.

Mrs. Gigio fondly remembers Leslie West pushing her sister to the ground in a grassy area at the corner of Jewel Ave. and Queen's Blvd in Forest Hills back in 1960! Small world!

Mountain (and Humble Pie) played in my high school.

My Senior prom after party was held in our Theater. We had Boston, REO Speedwagon, and Aerosmith. Boston was the headliner, while REO Speedwagon and Aerosmith were the 2nd and 3rd acts. Both REO Speedwagon and Aerosmith were booked before there hits came out.
