Leon was an Okie (as was I), so we got to see him a lot around there. He often brought surprise guests to play with him at his local concerts - JJ Cale, Arlo Guthrie, George Harrison (who brought Ravi Shankar with him), etc. So it was always a special treat to see his shows in OK. Best was always just Leon and his piano tho. RIP Leon.

Bird On A Wire, Delta Lady. This Masquerade. I saw him once ages ago in the 60's. A fine performer. It was sad to see him living on the side of a road in a trailer, destitute, where Elton John found him just a few years ago. The last few years saw him make a little and gain a little of the recognition he deserved. RIP Leon.
