Such a loss! Good thing we still have Stony Layne to look up to.

Met him in Atlanta once. Good dude. His trademark standing elbow was one of my least favorite finishing moves in WWF/WWE history, but he was charismatic and entertaining in any event in my youth. I haven't watched wrestling in ages, but I still hate to hear about how many current and former pro wrestlers are dead.

One of my favorite wrestlers when i was a kid..... back in the days of the NWA.

Let's hope Dustin and Cody can keep the Rose name going for a long time in WWE

Oh, I thought you meant the hero of the 1954 World Series......

I liked Dusty Rhodes...........He was entertaining. I hate to hear of his passing.

May he Rest In Peace.

I'm a huge wrestling fan but his heyday in the 80s came a little before my time and I've never went back and caught up on his matches.

However, I have a friend who I would talk wrestling with and we would constantly joke about Dusty-isms or do Dusty impressions to make each other laugh. And, of course, "Dusty finish" for a match with result that is either ambiguous or later overturned has long been part of wrestling parlance.

Beyond entertaining millions of fans with his in-ring exploits, Dusty was simply part of the fabric of the business.

Wow. So sad to hear this news. Dusty was one of the greats of the wrestling area. I remember some of his matches from back in the day. My mom and grandmother loved them some Dusty Rhodes! RIP, Dusty. You will be missed.

Dusty and the Road Warriors best 6 man tag team ever! Epic matches against The Nature Boy Rick Flair!
