I've been watching John Carson re-runs with Rickles, Dangerfield, etc. Anyone who thinks standup has gotten too raunchy needs to watch some of the greats from decades ago.

Years ago I heard a Redd Foxx standup act from the late 60’s on the SiriusXM comedy channel. He was an artist with vulgarity.

This is why Sutherland was cast in Animal House.
Hadn't seen it in the obits but I read Sutherland was offered a piece of Animal House or $25K. He took the cash. No way was this movie going anywhere he thought.

Although he was good in that movie it was a remake of one of the greatest 1950’s Black and White sci fy movies with Kevin McCarthy.

What movie is it?
Invasion of tho Body Snatchers
The original was set in a small California town .
The remake in San Francisco
It worked much better in the original setting
It‘d also allegorical In a theme that fit the 1950‘s better than the 1970’s
