I'm so saddened to hear this. Roy's father-in-law and I were work colleagues for several years. I recall the excitement when he was drafted by the Blue Jays. Great person and pitcher.

Doc was a great competitor and classy guy. When he was on, a pitching gem was likely. He had 2 Cy Young awards, a perfect game, and only the second post-season no-hitter. In that game, he threw at least 4 pitches that all broke several inches in different directions.

Doc was far too young to die. Such a sad story. Condolences to his family, friends, and many, many fans.
