OT: RIP Doc

Roy Halladay died at the age of 40 in a plane crash. I always had a lot of respect for him, got to see a lot of him since he was in the AL East for much of his career. My heart goes out to his loved ones.

I'm so saddened to hear this. Roy's father-in-law and I were work colleagues for several years. I recall the excitement when he was drafted by the Blue Jays. Great person and pitcher.

Doc was a great competitor and classy guy. When he was on, a pitching gem was likely. He had 2 Cy Young awards, a perfect game, and only the second post-season no-hitter. In that game, he threw at least 4 pitches that all broke several inches in different directions.

Doc was far too young to die. Such a sad story. Condolences to his family, friends, and many, many fans.
