It was a very exciting game and the biggest win in Derek Kellogg's tenure at UMass.
They have just one senior in the rotation and Kellogg has begun to turn the program around. UMass is hardly a 'destination' job ....except it may be just that for Kellogg given his life-long ties to the area. I have heard from some of his contemporaries who know him from way back that he is a very good guy.
UMass plays at Seton Hall in round 2.
