He could have been our starter for the past few years. But he couldn't handle competition.
What would have to happen for UConn and IU to play in a bowl game? That would lead to a few interesting threads!
It had nothing to do with competition and P made that clear with his comments after he was dismissed (said something along the lines of "we gave the kids they wanted the best shot"; I'm guessing they meant local coaches. This was after the biggest P apologist of all, Des Connor stated Lagow was the most advanced of the three freshman QBs (CC was a redshirt, RL & TB were true frosh). Somehow Lagow was behind everyone on the depth chart.FIFY
However, ppgdl would have screwed it up anyway.

If P gave Lagow close to a fair shot he likely would has stuck around.
I think you're right. I think he came from a pretty high level Texas HS program and realized the UConn coaching staff was not up to snuff. He told his dad (justwinbaby) and they pulled the plug and went home.Lagow's susequent actions say differently.

Amen bro. Always been a fan of Lagow. Did what was best for him.The kid also took a lot of judgemental crap from some people on this board. This was an 18 yr old kid who had a dream of playing QB for a big time college football program, just like he had with his 5A high school team in TX. My hat is off to him for never taking his eye off his dream, regardless of the obstacles and naysayers along the way. I'm happy for him and his family and wish him nothing but the best. He is also a RKG if you've followed him at all through social media over the past few years.

This is silly. They recruited him here. He didnt show up magically. He should have been our starter for the past few years. But the two amigos couldn't see past the 06 zip code.
I hated PP, but this is utter BS. Kid was here like a week and a half. How could anyone even know where he should be on the depth chart? I don't buy it. And even if he was behind some others after week 1, stick around and fight it out a little bit.
No BS. Yes, his dad was a bit of a jerk but for what it is worth, I've been jerk when it comes to my kid more than once and I'm pretty confident I will be again.I hated PP, but this is utter BS.
