I'm particularly enamored of my own vanity plate:

I was issued a standard plate for a new car and paid it no attention, but when my kids mentioned that people were blessing themselves and making signs t0 ward off the evil eye, I noted that it read 666xxx
My friend's plate reads 6669....are you both members of the same group?

I didn't get vanity plates until we moved out here, but we were not very creative. "GO R U" on the car honors our Rutgers fandom, while "AMYDOUG" on our Ford Ranger is just our names.

The thing is, they are not terribly expensive out here, and actually there is a plethora of different plates to choose from. In the end, I stayed with standard plates, just the custom letters. I briefly thought of getting a U of A plate with the "GO R U" lettering, but it is much easier to stick with what you have. Plus, last I looked, the UofA plates were not very attractive.

My special plate is: RSHERM. (I did it to help me remember who I am.)
And when I was teaching/coaching my friends every once in a while would tape over the H to make RSPERM! After the 1st or 2nd time it was funny, but after the 25th time it got old real quick!
