A long off-season is now underway. So let's have an enjoyable "OT discussion," OK? Today, Personal (or Vanity) License Plates.

Mrs. Kibitzer just got hers (new rule in CT permits 7 letters/digits). It reads:

GR8GRMA

I'm equally pleased with mine:

SPEC OPS

Years ago, a driver must have really liked his Chrysler model:

XCARGO

While driving in Mass., we one spotted this:

AHTIST

My all-time favorite was the classy and creative message on the plate of a barber in Fitchburg:

NEXT

OK, Boneyarders, your turn.
Do you have a personal plate?
Have you seen any interesting ones?
Have any suggestion? (e.g., MORGAN3)

GO!

I once spotted a very, very plain looking Chevy Impala in northern Virginia. The type you'd normally associate with government issue, but it wasn't.

Anyway, silver/gray Impala, blackwall tires. Blah. About as blah as you can get.

The license plate?

....CAR

Have a lot of fun with the plate I got for the wife - and the state wouldn't let me get it until it all became computerized - too risque, they said. Especially nice since she does have it in a church parking lot a great deal. First three letters of her first and last name - BARHOP

Then there's: VLAD THE with the plate holder Impala.

and the vegan (I think?): ILVTOFU

Kibitzer - with all your other medical history, I hadn't realized you also had issues with your eyes! Really sorry to hear that!:)

Then, there was the big brown Bentley, probably a model from the 1950's, that I used to see around Noank, CT once in a while.

All the plate said was QE 3

Well done on this one.

Well, my wife's Jeep Cherokee is RED-JEEP
My very modified Subaru STI is OMG-FAST
My Yamaha FJR1300 is CT-FJR
My old Honda Goldwing was AU-WING
My old red Nissan 350Z was MYREDZ

Don't even know if this one was specialized.

Mine is probably too "IN" for many to understand:

I built a replica of the iconic British sports car - the Lotus 7.
However, mine has about 4 times the horsepower of the original provided by a mid-90s Camaro V-6 engine.
The plate is "LOTUS-6" - Now that 7 characters are available, I may upgrade to "Lotus V6"
Then again, I might go whole hog for "LOTUS V8" and let folks guess<G>

I took this photo with my phone. I saw this car on I84 as I was headed to Gampel for the first game of the NCAAs. The license plate is ECTO VII. There's a Ghostbusters logo on the side of the car.

Seen in a resort in Leelenau, Michigan in the mid 70's at a fancy resort...

My daughter's Focus has a license plate I got through the 82nd Airborne Assn. It has a little parachutist badge on the side and the word "paratrooper" along the bottom. Her plate:
DADISA
When she got into a little fender-bender a few years ago, the cop was asking the usual questions:
Q: "Huh? Your Dad is a. . . what?"
A: "Keep reading."
Q: "Oh, your Dad is a paratrooper?"
A: "Yup.":)
Q: "I'll give you a warning.";)

My wife has. KIND. Mine is LOVEWELL Enjoyed the season look forward to reading all the speculation between now and nov

Give the guy credit. He was driving a Chrysler X-Car model, briefly popular then.

Yes, a collaboration between Iaccoca and the EPA. What more need be said.
